为推进日本厕所环境的提升和厕所事业的进步，日本厕所研究所举办第二届“日本厕所人物”评选大赛，表彰对改善厕所做出卓越贡献的个人或团体。于2017年7月14日～9月19日征集候选人，自荐或他荐均可。主要有4大面向：对厕所清洁维修，提升其舒适度做出贡献；通过创作和举办活动宣传厕所、排泄重要意义；对厕所相关技术有所改进或进行创意空间设计；推动厕所领域的公共服务，如商店开放厕所给公众使用。涉及其它和厕所相关领域也可进行报名。结果将于2017年10月25日公布，获奖者将参加于11月11日在东京举办的厕所论坛。

Award | Japan Toilet Labo. launches nomination for the second "Japan Toilet People of the Year" 

To improve Japan toilet environment and promote the development, Japan Toilet Labo. launches an award program for the second "Japan Toilet People of the Year", awarding figures or organizations who have made great contributions to improve toilets. People may recommend themselves or others as candidates from 14 July  to 19 September 2017. People in four areas are encouraged: enhancing the comfort through cleaning and maintaining toilets; raising public awareness on the importance of toilets and excretion through creation or activities; advancing toilet technology or designing the space creatively; pushing public service about toilets such as the toilet in a store open to the public. What's more, any other areas about toilet are welcomed, too. On October 25, 2017, the host will make the announcement about the final list. The winner has access to the Toilet Forum held in Tokyo on November 11 this year.
