西部很多地方处于高寒、山地、水资源匮乏的情况，并且由于特殊的高原地理和复杂的气候因素，很多地方都干旱缺水。我国西部地区的污水管网约占全国14%，政府逐年在加大建设力度，某些地区仍然比较严峻。青海玉树州囊谦县一所小学学校连同老师共有27人，在这个地方有些家庭孩子长至五六岁都没洗过澡，而有厕所的家庭更是少之又少，有些孩子连卫生纸都没见过。昱庭公益基金会通过《我心目中的公共厕所》大赛了解到这所小学的孩子们希望有一所带走廊的公厕，而这只是大赛组委会收到的许多援建请求之一。昱庭公益基金会最终将通过此次大赛，集社会之力量，为贫困地区援建三所生态厕所。请点击了解更多关于“援建西部校园厕所”公益活动。

Many places in West China face freezing weather, mountainous geo conditions and lack of water. The highland geography and complicated climate result in drought and water shortage.  The waste pipe in West China account for 14% of that of the country. Despite the strong support from government, the situation is still testing for some areas. At a school of Nangqian County, Qinghai Province, the number of faculty and students is 27. Some children have never taken a bath until they are five or six years old in this area. Very few families own a toilet at all, and some children have never seen toilet paper. Yuting Foundation knows that the children at this school wish to have a toilet with a corridor from the Contest of"Public Toilet in My Heart" , which is just one of many appeals to build a public toilet. With the support from the society, Yuting Foundation will build 3 eco-friendly toilets for underdeveloped areas through this contest.
