11月16日,在第五个 “世界厕所日” 即将到来之际,国际公益学院厕所文化研究中心携手西班牙百年卫浴品牌Roca在Roca北京艺术廊举办了一场以 “关于厕所,我有一个梦想” 的公益论坛,现场邀请到众多为厕所环境卫生事业奋斗的先行者一起探讨世界厕所环境的未来。

国际公益学院助理院长、北京师范大学社会学院傅昌波教授介绍了目前厕所领域的社会创新,他指出三年来中国厕所革命成就是巨大的,但仍然存在不小的问题,希望完善政策及标准,让厕所更人性化、更环保,依托新技术和教育体系,让更多人养成文明如厕习惯。Roca北京艺术廊经理周洁莹介绍了Roca创办的“We Are Water”基金会的使命,该基金会希望通过举办活动提高公众对水资源的认识,以及寻求对水源保护的可持续发展战略,同时筹募资金来帮助世界上需要水源的地方建设一系列基础设施、教育设施及医疗设施。壹基金儿童关怀与发展部项目官员徐雅巍以“净水净心”为主题,分享了壹基金在水与卫生健康领域的坚持与创新。希望政府部门、企业和社会组织共同合作,让每一位农村儿童都能享有足量、安全和负担得起的饮用水,能够将健康握在自己的手中。活动尾声,所有嘉宾就“厕所梦想:健康、节水、资源循环的创意解决方案”展开圆桌讨论,并每人分享了一个关于厕所健康卫生的梦想。

Event | RCTC x Roca explores the future of toilet and environment

On November 16, with the 5th World Toilet Day around the cornor, Research Center of Toilet Culture of China Global Philanthropy Institute and Roca, the century-old Spanish bathroom brand, held a philanthropic forum on ‘One Toilet, One Dream’ in Roca Beijing Gallery. Many pioneers in the circle to fight for toilet environmental sanitation were present to discuss the future of world toilet environment.

The forum started with the 'One Toilet, One Dream' theme. Prof. Fu Changbo, Assistant Director of the China Global Philanthropy Institute and professor of School of Sociology, Beijing Normal University, introduced the social innovations in the toilet filed. The toilet revolution achievements of the past three years are significant, but many issues persist. It is hoped the policies and the standards will be improved, to make toilets more accessible for people, more eco-friendly, and make people make good habits for using toilets with the help of new technology and education system. Zhou Jieying, Roca Beijing Gallery manager, introduced the mission of We Are Water Foundation by Roca, who aims to raise awareness of water resource and find sustainable development strategy of water resource protections by holding activities, and raise funding for infrastructures, education and medical facilities of regions in the demand of water resources in the world. Xu Yawei, project officer from One Foundation, shared the persistence and innovations of the foundation in water and hygiene. It is hoped the government, business and social organization shall work together to allow every child in rural areas have access to enough, safe and affordable drinking water, and have health in control. In the end all the guest speakers had a round table discussion on ‘The Dream about Toilet: Creative Solutions for Health, Water, Resource Recycle’ and shared dreams about toilet health and sanitation.
